Reflecting on the significance of the inaugural RHBA, Founder Lawrence Hiew shared: “The first edition of the RED Honorary Brand Award was about celebrating the resilience, innovation, and excellence of Singapore’s businesses. We are proud to honor these outstanding brands and individuals who set the benchmark for quality and professionalism, especially during challenging times.” Looking ahead, the 2023 RED Honorary Brand Award will open nominations for Malaysian brands and enterprises, further expanding RHBA’s mission to recognize excellence across the region and foster cross-border business collaboration.

Founded in 2020 by multi-talented artiste and entrepreneur Lawrence Hiew, the RED Honorary Brand Award (RHBA) was created during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic with a clear mission: to provide SMEs and brands with a stronger platform to collaborate, grow, and gain greater visibility in an increasingly competitive landscape. The inaugural edition of RHBA took place on 20 December 2021 at The Star Gallery, The Star Vista, marking a powerful beginning for this annual recognition platform. The event drew strong support from business leaders, entrepreneurs, and renowned local personalities. Guest presenters included celebrated artistes Zen Chong and Sora Ma, along with acclaimed movie director Jason Lim. The evening was helmed by prominent hosts Wallace Ang and Sherraine Law, with roving hosts Terry Tan and Mireen Ng engaging attendees and bringing the night’s vibrant atmosphere to life. Reflecting on the vision behind RHBA, Founder Lawrence Hiew shared:
“The pandemic taught us the importance of resilience and collaboration. I wanted to build a platform where brands and SMEs could come together, support one another, and showcase their strength to the wider community.
